]]> The integration of a machining centre with a turning centre provides unmatched flexibility and productivity, enabling manufacturers to machine parts completely with just one machine.

Doosan’s MX-series mill-turn machines can undertake simple turning and milling operations right through to more complex, multi-axis simultaneous operations.

The MX machines’ Y-axis and integrated B-axis increases the range of milling operations that can be handled.

Depending on the model – MX machines can be supplied with a tailstock, a bottom turret, and a second spindle.

There are three different sized MX models: MX 1600 (6” chuck/51mm bar capacity); MX 2100 (8” chuck/65mm bar capacity) and MX 2600 (10″ chuck/76mm bar capacity).

]]> Doosan’s range of best-selling mill-turn centres has a new addition – the next generation super SMX 3100 series.

Featuring a new ergonomic and orthogonal design which won the series the prestigious RED DOT Product Design Award in 2013, the machines in the range have an impressive technical specification and are equipped with a 12″/15″ chuck (102mm bar capacity), a 40/80 position tool front-mounted ATC (Capto C6), 300mm (+/- 150mm) Y-axis, 240 degree B-axis, milling capability (12,000rpm).

The SMX 3100 model is supplied with a tailstock, whereas the SMX 3100S model has a sub-spindle (4000rpm).

Both models have a maximum turning diameter of 660mm and turning length of 1540mm.
